Yup, it’s been a good day, now time to relax and enjoy some ice cream. Except the ice cream doesn’t melt here — it is something like ‘dream whip’.
One look at the blog and you will notice that I’ve updated/changed the theme and added a ‘days since’ in the post footer. Also created a few new header images — more to come.
Feedback appreciated concerning the changes.
The river/creek behind the hotel is 2 feet higher than yesterday. Guess it rained somewhere higher in the mountains and the sky is filled with very dark clouds around Cuenca, so we will probably have a good rain storm tonight.
H A P P Y T H A N K S G I V I N G to everyone!
We had a very nice couple over last night for supper, but since a 10-12 pound turkey cost $27.00USD, we decided to eat Asian style rather then USA style food. I haven’t seen any cranberries here either, but it is certainly cold enough to grow them here. I would imagine that cranberries is an acquired taste; one needs lots of sugar or they are rather sour.
“At an altitude of 2,550 meters (7,650 feet) above sea level, Cuenca enjoys a mild climate and a fabulous geographic position. Cuenca has the placid atmosphere of a small city, both deeply religious and artistic.”
